Privacy Policy.

Last updated: May 17, 2026. This policy explains how Secure Quote collects, uses, and protects your information — in plain language.

1. Who We Are

Secure Quote is an independent insurance brokerage that helps consumers compare life insurance and annuity options from top-rated carriers. We are not an insurance carrier — we connect you with licensed agents and carriers who can issue coverage.

When you use our quote tool or contact form, you are interacting with Secure Quote directly. Any information you provide is handled according to this policy.

2. What Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you request a quote, we collect:

  • Your first and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Age and state of residence
  • Tobacco use status
  • Desired coverage amount and term length

This information is necessary to generate an accurate estimated rate and connect you with appropriate carriers. You are not required to provide it, but without it we cannot provide a quote.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect:

  • Your IP address and approximate location (city/state level)
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited, time on site, and clicks
  • Referring website or ad that brought you here

This data is collected through cookies, browser storage, and third-party tracking tools including the Meta Pixel (described in Section 4).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate your estimated insurance rate and connect you with a licensed agent
  • Follow up on your quote request by phone or email
  • Improve our website, quote tool, and overall service
  • Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns
  • Comply with state and federal insurance regulations
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that significantly affect you, and we do not use health information you provide for purposes other than facilitating your insurance inquiry.

4. Advertising & Tracking Technologies

Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel)

Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram). The Meta Pixel allows us to:

  • Measure how users interact with our site after seeing our ads
  • Track when a quote form is completed (as a “Lead” event)
  • Build audiences for future advertising on Facebook and Instagram
  • Optimize ad delivery to people likely to be interested in life insurance

The Meta Pixel collects data such as your IP address, browser information, and actions you take on our site. This data is sent to Meta and is subject to Meta’s Privacy Policy. Meta may combine this data with information it holds about you from your Facebook or Instagram account.

Insurance advertising note: Our Meta advertising operates under Meta’s Special Ad Category for financial products and insurance. We do not use sensitive health data to target ads, and we do not pass policy amounts, health classifications, or tobacco status to Meta.

Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to function (e.g., remembering your quiz progress)
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the site
  • Marketing cookies — set by Meta Pixel to support ad measurement and retargeting

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling marketing cookies will not affect your ability to use the quote tool, but it may limit the accuracy of our advertising measurement.

How to opt out of Meta tracking

You have several options to limit Meta’s use of your data for advertising:

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Licensed insurance carriers and agents — When you complete a quote, your contact information and quote details (age, coverage amount, tobacco status, state) are shared with licensed agents or carrier partners who will follow up with you. These parties are bound by confidentiality obligations and applicable insurance regulations.
  • Marketing and analytics platforms — We share limited data (such as a “Lead” conversion event) with Meta Platforms to measure the performance of our advertising. We do not share your name, email, or phone number directly with Meta for targeting purposes.
  • Service providers — We use trusted vendors for website hosting, CRM/lead management, and email delivery. These vendors process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal obligations — We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or regulatory request, or to protect the rights and safety of Secure Quote, our users, or others.

We do not share your information with unaffiliated lead aggregators or data brokers.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure data storage, and access controls to protect your information. Form submissions are transmitted securely and stored in protected systems.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take your data security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights — California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you specific rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know — You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we share it with.
  • Right to Delete — You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (such as information needed to complete a transaction or comply with legal obligations).
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale — We do not sell your personal information. You do not need to opt out, but you may contact us to confirm this.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
  • Right to Correct — You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.

To submit a CCPA request, please use the contact form on our website. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

8. Your Rights — All Users

Regardless of your location, you may:

  • Opt out of marketing emails — Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or contact us directly.
  • Request your data — Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
  • Request deletion — Ask us to delete your personal information from our systems.
  • Withdraw consent — If you previously consented to marketing, you may withdraw at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please use our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected — typically for the duration of your insurance inquiry and any resulting relationship. If you request deletion, we will remove your information within 30 days except where retention is required by law or legitimate business need (such as financial recordkeeping).

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults (18 and older) seeking insurance coverage. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

12. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise your rights, or have a privacy concern, please reach out through our contact form. We take privacy inquiries seriously and will respond promptly.
